I went to see her in the hospital last night before going to my Aunt&#8217;s home where family members were still dealing with my cousin&#8217;s abrupt passing on Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>I can say I still don&#8217;t like hospitals,  the unnatural quiet, the coughing coming from patients in their room, the beds, the signs specifying specific instructions (biohazard, &#8220;sanitize your hands here,&#8221; and the hints of mortality. I have never had to stay in a hospital and hope it&#8217;s years before I have to.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grams resting, originally uploaded by richlouis.
